Based in Scotland's capital Edinburgh, Hearts are the city's oldest and most successful club.
With 4 league titles (14 runner-up), 17 Scottish Cup finals with 8 victories and 4 league cup wins, Hearts are arguably Scotland's strongest club outwith the Old Firm.
Hearts will be looking to contest the top 6 once again in 23/24 with eyes on European qualification.
2023/24 TRANSFERS:
Comment: A summer of experienced departures at Tynecastle so far, however, only Josh Ginnelly's departure you would think will cause any Hearts fan slight despair. GMS as superb as he has been in spells throughout his career is sadly so injury prone, a possible earlyish retirement never feels far away. Michael Smith shared the RB and CDM positions with a number of players last season but expect Nathaniel Atkinson to be given an opportunity to make the RB shirt his. Lewis Neilson can also play RB maybe we might see the former Dundee Utd player finally get opportunities.
Incoming Frankie Kent provides a good defensive option and Michael McGovern provides GK cover.

Last season, Halkett and Haring were our choices of influential players to be key for Hearts, both suffered horrendous injury issues. Our pick of Alex Cochrane to be the breakthrough player proved a solid pick. Lawrence Shankland & Barrie McKay ended up being critical to Hearts push up the table. This season Shankland will once again be key, I also expect key roles for the returning Baningime and Halkett once more if fit.
Key Players: Lawrence Shankland & Beni Banigime
Breakthrough Player: Nathaniel Atkinson at the ripe age of 24! to nail down the RB/RWB and Oda to get more game time. Lewis Neilson has moved to Partick Thistle on loan who would have been my younger player tip.
Opinion on GK order: Zander Clark (1) Michael McGovern (2)
Craig Gordon currently injured
Players With International Utility:
Craig Gordon, Lawrence Shankland, Craig Halkett - Scotland
Liam Boyce & Michael McGovern - Northern Ireland
Nathaniel Atkinson, Cammy Devlin & Kye Rowles - Australia

Expecting a little more transfer activity at Hearts, in particular in the forward areas where heavy links with Jamie McGrath, Yusuke Tagawa and Kenneth Vargas all continue. As it stands this for me is the players I expect to start the most. Note Kingsley and Halliday more in a cover capacity rather than regular.
