ABERDEEN FC - SORARE INFO

Based in the North East of Scotland, Aberdeen is one of Scotland's biggest clubs. With a stadium holding over 22,000 and rich history which includes winning 2 European trophies in the 1980s, 

"The Dons" have often been the best of the rest outwith the "Old Firm" in the domestic league.

This season Aberdeen will compete in the Premiership, domestic cups and Europa League  

entering at the Play Off round on 7th August if they win this match they will play in the Europa League groups if they lose they drop into Europa Conference League Group - so, guaranteed European football.  

THOUGHTS:

Comment: Aberdeen rebounded from the disappointment of the previous season in spectacular fashion. The siginings of "Duk", Bojan Miovski, Kelle Roos and Ylber Ramadani were a masterstroke.

All 4 performing to a consistent high standard in 2022/23. 

Barry Robson has the support from both the player and the stands after turning around Aberdeen's stop/start season and has strengthened the "Dons" considerably. Clarkson = craft, guile, creativity, Shinnie = engine room, guard dog type midfielder, an enforcer of sorts! 

Devlin has been one of the best RB's in Scotland (outwith the OF) for a few seasons and has really earned the step up from Livingston, his versatility could see him RCB of a back 3 centrally. 

Rhys Williams could be interesting after a loan spell at Blackpool, the Liverpool giant at the back may replace the gap vacated by Scales & Pollok possibly pushing ahead of Anthony Stewart. 

Aberdeen for 3rd and closing the points gap to 3rd is surely a cert!
